We are all liars, frauds, impostors. “How are you?” asks someone with a smile. “I’m okay.” you reply smiling back. You turn to go. Turmoil rises and you want to scream, “Actually, I’m HORRIBLE!” But you are afraid. Afraid that person WON’T care. Afraid that they WILL care. Afraid they will try to FIX YOU UP. Horrified to expose our flaws and short comings. We want to be perceived as strong, on top of the world with everything under control.
